Ways to Keep Those New Year’s Resolutions
No doubt, many of you are making New Year’s resolutions that involve getting in better shape in 2016 and beyond. Here at Sweat, we hope your plans involve getting involved with some of the great offerings here at our Lexington barre cardio and yoga studio. And to help you better succeed, we have organized a few tips to help you keep your resolutions and build a successful habit of healthy living.
First, make sure to start out with reasonable goals. If you start out with unachievable aspirations, you’re going to get discouraged. The key is to build consistency because what may seem like baby steps in the beginning will build into something truly impressive over time.
Next, plan more than just an idea. What this means is that you need to plan the details of how to turn your resolution into a reality. Find the time and days of the week when you can work on exercise. Consider the logistics and troubleshoot any conflicts that will interfere with your plan. If you enter the new year without any idea how to achieve your resolution, you’re a lot less likely to make it happen.
