At SWEAT, we offer the option of private instruction because that is the optimal way to instruct/learn. In an individual class, the teacher is afforded the luxury of tailoring the class specifically to the student’s needs. For the student, it’s an opportunity to eliminate group distractions and concentrate on goals and conditions that are specific to their own needs, especially ones that may not be typically covered in a group class.

Private instruction goals cover many different aspects of personal health. You may choose a particular focus on something mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, or otherwise. Most likely, all four of these elements will be a factor in your private instruction class, anyway, but it’s easier to achieve the right balance for you in a one-on-one setting.

Given the various approaches and sequences available to your yoga teacher, the private lesson is an ideal spot to try different methods of achieving your goals. Perhaps you respond best to a blend of yoga sequences, and that’s something your teacher will pick up on and be able to implement into the lessons.
